Sussex County IBA Annual Patrons
THE SUSSEX COUNTY IBA ANNUAL PATRONS
The Patrons is a Mens voluntary Indoor Group established to enable Men to represent the County in matches against fellow Annual Patrons & members of other County Clubs
From Season 2019 - 2020 Men Club members are automatically registered with the County
WHY SHOULD I JOIN?
Two reasons: -
1) For a new bowler now playing in Club friendly matches this could be the first step in the progression to a County Badge and possible further honours
2) For a senior bowler who may be no longer interested in playing too many matches this is the best way to support your County by sharing your knowledge with less experienced bowlers and contributing something back to the County
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO JOIN?
At the SCIBA AGM in June 2019 a motion was passed to abolish the APs subscription from 01 October 2019
WHAT MATCHES ARE PLAYED
The County is divided into 2 Areas East and West for the purposes of the Annual Patrons- 6 Inter Area matches are played across the County for the Fred Brock League Shield, 2 Friendly matches 1 against Surrey Annual Patrons on an alternate home and away basis and 1 against Gullivers every other season
1 Match is played in March for the Gaye Knight Trophy Final between the holder of the Trophy and the League Shield Winner or Runner Up
The All-Day Competition for the Llew Knight annual Patrons Cup that was played at Egerton Park IBC in November has been suspended due to members lack of support
WHAT RECOGNITION WILL I GET?
After playing in a fixed number of matches you will be awarded a special recognition SCIBA PATRONS Flash

Inviting you to enter your name and preferred playing position for selection by your Mens Club Selection Committee
